Educational Qualifications For Paper/Category I – Lower Primary Classes (Class 1-5): 12th/10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks, along with a Trained Teachers Certificate (TTC) or Diploma in Education (D.Ed/DL.Ed). Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Special Education. 12th/10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. 12th/10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) degree. For Paper/Category II – Upper Primary Classes (Class 6-8): Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.), along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.Ed/DL.Ed/TTC) or other eligible qualifications, as per the rules. B.Ed. with at least 45% marks and an eligible degree recognized by NCTE. 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) with 50% marks in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or equivalent. 4-year B.Sc./B.A. in Education (B.Sc.Ed/B.A.Ed) with 50% marks in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or equivalent. BBA Degree awarded or recognized by universities in Kerala (with additional required qualifications) to apply for K.TET Category II. Final year students of D.Ed/DL.Ed and B.Ed. programs can also apply, provided they submit a certificate from the head of their institution confirming their 2nd-year status. For Paper/Category III – High School Classes (Class 9-12): Graduation with a B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. degree securing at least 45% marks along with a B.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned or M.Sc.Ed. degree. For Paper/Category IV – Language Teachers: Candidates possessing a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in teaching in any subject approved by Universities/NCTE/Board of Examinations/Government of Kerala are eligible.
